1500/2500 Electric Release Door Operators

Description

DDS Electric Release Devices are used when manually opening of the door is to be controlled by either central control or a guard with the key to open the door. The door pops open approximently 3" when energized allowing the inmate or guard to manually slide it to the fully opened and secure position. To close the door the central control or guard with a key needs to energize the device so that the door pops 3" in the closed position allowing the guard or inmate to slide the door to the locked and secure position.

Installation

Installlation Drawings: Engineered installation drawings are included for each area where the product is to be installed

Pre-Installation Proceedure: The mounting surface shall be secure and rigid. All areas where the closure angles are to be mounted need to be free of surface obstacals that would impair a tight secure installation

Installation Proceedure: Use only Certified DEC Journeyman Installers for the installation proceedure. Layout and install the vertical columns, transoms and closure angles per the installation drawings supplied true and plumb. Fit and install the fixed door hamger and guide per the installation drawings supplied. When all vertical columns, transoms and doors are measured and tested proceed with the final field welding. Make sure that the door operates freely, locks secure, all DPS switches function properly and all fasteners are tighthened. Clean and dress any exposed welds prior to paint touchup

Final Finish: It is the OWNERS responsiblity for the paint type, color and application
